Them Oily Feels
Volcanic Pumice Stone
Pumice stone is an igneous rock that is formed during volcanic eruptions. When you look at a pumice stone, you see a framework of bubbles and holes throughout it.
These textures are actually called vesicles. Vesicles are formed during rapid cooling of the volcanic rock and the release of the gas held in them. A light-yet-abrasive stone used to remove dry, dead skin.
A pumice stone can also soften your calluses and corns to reduce pain from friction. It’s important to know how to properly use a pumic stone. If you’re not careful, you can cause bleeding, remove too much skin or increase your risk of infection.
To safely exfoliate your skin, you’ll also need a large bowl or basin of warm, soapy water. This is especially important for exfoliating your feet or hands.
